Where Is My Heart?

A great article in Macleans this week by Brian Bergman. I think it sums up the feelings of a lot of my friends and family, of all generations. Article link here: The Question Of War

Really worth the whole read, one interesting quote close to my heart -

“Alas, for many of those same critics, nothing really changed on Sept. 11. Their instinctive anti-Americanism could not be contained as they immediately responded to the loss of more than 3,000 lives (24 of them, by the way, Canadians) by declaring that U.S. foreign policy had brought on the tragedy. Even now, I find myself listening sympathetically to certain peace activists — until, that is, they begin to prattle on about how Bush represents an equal, if not greater, force of evil than Hussein or bin Laden. Where, one wonders, would they rather live and raise their families — in Baghdad or in Washington; under the thumb of the Taliban or in the bosom of one of the world’s oldest democracies?”
