Total Recall
Grant sums up my feelings on the whole California recall issue (well not all of them). Nonetheless I think it’s interesting to see Arnold run. He hasn’t spoken much about his policy stances but he’s hardly new to politics, and he’s clearly an intelligent businessman. I think Grant is right, he may actually do a good job by providing leadership and a way forward, more than any specific policy. The very idea of declaring on the tonight show speaks to how a different style doesn’t have to mean a bad style. More people probably watch that show than vote; why announce behind a tired old podium with blue curtains behind you. Fresh ideas and just doing things differently matters.
I might be in California in the next couple weeks and it should be a hell of a show to watch.
