Fear & Tedium

As part of this conference in Washington, DC our hosts took us to a group dinner (which was quite good) at the International Spy Museum. After dinner we were able to tour the museum privately. It’s very well done and in fact takes more than the hour we had to go through and experience.

What they captured so well is the story of spying and it’s role in history. They also communicated the very real fact that spying involves a lot of tedium and is a very scary profession…especially if you get caught. That sense of fear (not in too heavy or scary a way) permeates the exhibits and actually generates its own excitement and interest. Cool night. Thanks EM.
