Not All Bad
After a few weeks of tavelling or working on the weekends I’ve had my first free Saturday in awhile. Was supposed to head out of the city with some friends but it didn’t work out so ended up wandering all over Christmas crazy London. The hotel does suck but it’s in a cool area, nearby to Soho and Covent Garden and I’ve wandered through all the stores, Christmas lights, carollers, cafe’s and open air music performances I could find.
Have to thank FatPort for helping to solve my net access issue. Within a few blocks of the hotel are three Cafe’s (and many more all over London) that they have a roaming agreement with for wireless access (care of Surf N Sip. It’s not ideal but it works.
It’s coming up on almost a month since I’ve been home…very strange feeling. I did squeeze one day back in there but otherwise I’ve been on the go since (as has the whole office back in Vancouver). I don’t think our company has ever had so many projects ongoing at once and going so (relatively) well. People do really rise to the challenge when given the chance.
It seems the blog has turned into more my personal ramblings than anything else, but buried amongst all this is a huge number of lessons (I’m trying to absorb) about managing a growth company, confronting success, dealing with staff and customer issues I never envisioned and reminding myself that I do love this (I think).
