Some Sort Of Purgatory

On Sunday night (home in Vancouver now) my Apple iBook broke down due to a known logic board malfunction. I wasn’t supposed to get it back till Friday but rumour has it that it may be ready tomorrow. Losing my newsreader (let alone my mail system) is quite disabling professionally…now I know I’ve become way too dependent on these things…

Lots going on at work as we move to a new round of project planning and development. Lots of companies our size (and our age) struggle with growth, relative success and those accompanying challenges. Dave mentions on his site that everyone who starts a business is aware of how risky a venture these things are. We’re lucky to be doing well into our fourth year but damn it takes a lot to get this far. [side note: there were no deals at that auction]

Martin has a great post on the Quebec sponsorship scandal playing havoc with national politics.

By the way…I’m not sure I should have spent Tuesday night watching the NOVA documentary on the crash of Flight 111. Incredible story about how they figured out what went wrong, but sobering to someone like me who spends a considerable amount of time flying.
