Not A Good Canadian
Lindsey Naegle’s Canucks Playoff Summary
I confess to following hockey…only somewhat and on the periphery. It’s a dangerous confession to make as a Canadian. I’ve tried, I mean I know the rules, watched many a game (I even bought seasons tickets for a year in my more financially flush days). Nonetheless I simply don’t have the mastery of the details of the game and the playoffs that my colleagues muster.
In sympathy (and support) my friend Grant has produced a short verions guide to the current Canucks playoff serious. The guide is complete with appropriate phrases I can use in daily conversation. I know this is not just for me (I hope) but I appreciate it. These phrases are to (as Grant puts it) ‘jockify’ the conversation. It’s all rather complicated but the jockify word comes from an obscure Simpsons reference to ‘rastify’ a developing cartoon character by ten percent. The orginiator of this clever upgrading idea is the business character Lindsey Nagle. Oddly enough…Grants blog is now (after only ONE day) the number one link to this critical Simpsons character. Ahh the interweb.
Now back to the bandwagon.
