Long Overdue, Well Not Really
Got my new Powerbook last week. It was on the agenda for awhile but another logic board failure in my iBook sped up the need for a replacement machine. Of course I was working on something important and it wasn’t saved on the work server, lesson learned [again].
I ended up opting for the 1.3 GHz machine with 1 Gig of RAM as opposed to the 1.5. Partially because I wanted the extra RAM (and I think it’s the right decision) but also because Apple didn’t have any 1.5 machines in stock; when are they going to fix their supply problems?
Bottom line (and really only for my own reference), I love the new machine. Slick design, fast as hell and an awesome screen. Now I suppose I have to get back to work so I can pay for it. Thanks to everyone (Ryan, Cam, Don, Ken, Dave and Derek) who fine tuned the decision and handled the purchase for me. By the way, I do know that singing the praises of my new computer and its convoluted acquisition is lame… but so be it.
