Stop The Movie Insanity
A campaign really needs to be waged to stop bad American movies from being played in Europe on network television. So much crap, so much misunderstanding. Wrong, wrong, wrong. (I write this as I desperately look for something to watch on the hotel TV)
…On a brighter note I saw Layer Cake this weekend in Leicester Square. Very cool slick U.K. gangster film about a deal gone bad and the hip stuff in between. I had no idea what the movie was about and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Great pace, cool settings, scenes and characters with a somewhat plausible story (at least given my limited knowledge of the drug underworld). I’d link directly to Sony’s movie site for the film, but unfortunately it’s a bloated flash monster. No wonder it’s number two on the google search.
